What is a map update?
A map update refreshes the data in your vehicle’s navigation system. New and modified roads, speed limits, signage, points of interest, and more are added in order to improve routing accuracy.
Most map updates are distributed via physical media such as DVDs, SD cards, and USB sticks.

Why update?
The road network of UK and Europe is changing approximately 15% every year. Therefore it is very important to have the latest available maps in your Navigation System. New bypasses are built, one-way systems suddenly appear, and all kinds of alterations are introduced to road layouts. All this can be very confusing if you aren’t armed with the most up-to-date route information.
If you haven't updated your vehicles GPS navigation system map in the past year or more, then you need a map update. Without a map update your system will be missing important data including new and modified roads, addresses, and points of interest. This information greatly improves your navigation system's routing accuracy and overall functionality. For further details, select the appropriate brand from the menu on the left  to find your map update.
