Select Software Update / Versions
Locate Installed SW Train Version
Step 2
Check that your SW Train Version looks like one of these examples:
- MST2_EU_VW_PQ_P0xxxT
- MST2_EU_VW_ZR_P0xxxT
- MST2_EU_VW_PxxxxD
- MST2_EU_VW_ExxxxD
- MST2_EU_VW_KxxxxD
Where x can be any digit.
Step 3
Check the number of SD card slots on your headunit:
- If your unit (with navigation) has 2 SD card slots — compatible ✅
- If your unit has 1 SD card slot — not compatible ❌
If you have 1 slot but your infotainment has the App-Connect function, and your software version ends with the letter D, then this SD card will work.

Once activated, the SD card becomes permanently linked to your vehicle’s headunit and cannot be reused or returned. Please verify compatibility before purchase or contact us for assistance.

I recently purchased a VW product, which has the discovery media system. The Car App feature was locked, and on visiting my local VW dealer, was shocked to find, that the SD card was £225 and then another £25 to install it!

Searched online and found this company. Asked a few questions and then made a purchase.
The SD card arrived this morning and I went straight out & installed it.
The Instructions supplied, are concise and easy to follow.
System was unlocked in 10 minutes.
Only thing I will say, is make sure you have a good quality data USB lead. Without this, nothing will happen, because your phone won't talk to the car.
I had this, so used a good one and it works as slick and as it should.

Great Upgrade
Great upgrade to an older system without spending hundreds on the whole stereo. All the steering wheel controls work as before. Great communication from start to SD card being delivered with clear instructions on how to do the upgrade. I would 100% recommend this.
